BAA BAA BURGER 

INGREDIENTS

PATTIE
600G LAMB MINCE
1 EGG BEATEN 
1/2 A FINELY DICED WHITE ONION 
1 TSPN CUMIN SEEDS 
1 TSPN CAJUN SPICE

GARNISH
​
1 BUTTERHEAD LETTUCE 
2 BEEF TOMATOES 
1 BLOCK OF HALLOUMI CHEESE 
6 tbspn mango chutney (see below for our mango chutney recipe)
6 tbspn of cucumber raita (CLICK LINK BELOW for a simple cucumber raita)

METHOD

PLACE CUMIN SEEDS ON A DRY FRYING PAN ON A MEDIUM HEAT MOVING AROUND THE PAN FOR 2 MINUTES. ADD ONION FRY UNTIL GOLDEN. IN A MIXING BOWL COMBINE ALL BURGER PATTIE INGREDIENTS. MIX WELL WITH YOUR HANDS. ROLL IN TO 6 EVEN BALLS AND PRESS IN TO BURGERS. SEAR BURGERS FOR 2 MINUTES EACH SIDE ON YOUR PAN THEN PLACE IN A PRE HEATED OVEN AT 180C FOR A FURTHER 10 MINUTES. WHILE THE BURGERS ARE IN THE OVEN SLICE HALLOUMI. PAT WITH KITHEN TOWEL AND LITHLY BRUSH WITH RAPESEED OIL ON NON STICK FRYING PAN FRY HALLOUMI FOR 1 MINUTE EITHER SIDE ON A MEDIUM - HIGH HEAT. WHEN GOLDEN REMOVE & LEAVE TO SET. SLICE TOMATO & PREP LETTUCE LEAVES. ONCE BURGERS ARE READY TOAST BUNS & BUILD IN ORDER OF BOTTOM BUN, RAITA, BURGER, LETTUCE TOMATO HALLOUMI, MANGO CHUTNEY, TOP BUN. DIG IN!!
